Do not build new automation against this expecting anonymous access; a legitimate-interest application or authority/obliged-entity status is required first.
About
The CVR register's beneficial-ownership ("reelle ejere") data was previously openly searchable, but following a 2022 CJEU ruling invalidating unrestricted public access and a 2025 amendment to the EU 6th AML Directive, Denmark closed general public access on 2025-09-01. Access is now limited to competent authorities, obliged entities (banks, auditors, etc. under AML law), and parties who can demonstrate a "legitimate interest" (saglig og velbegrundet interesse) to Erhvervsstyrelsen. Detailed implementing rules are due by 2026-07-10.
