## About

Pleo MCP connects AI assistants and autonomous agents directly to company spend data via an official Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint (https://mcp.pleo.io/mcp). Built by Pleo, the server inherits the authenticated user's permissions and allows agents to search expenses, resolve missing details (receipts, categories, tax codes, attendees), review and approve pending transactions, and queue approved expenses for bookkeeping and ERP export across multiple entities.

## Agent use cases

- Search company expenses and identify transactions missing receipts, categories, or tax codes
- Update and enrich expense entries with categories, tags, business notes, and attendee lists
- Review and approve pending employee spending waiting for managerial decision
- Prepare verified expenses and enqueue them for accounting and ERP export
- Automate expense management across multiple corporate entities from a single agent session

## Notes

Operates over Streamable HTTP at https://mcp.pleo.io/mcp (staging: https://mcp.staging.pleo.io/mcp). MCP access must first be enabled by a company admin in Pleo under Settings → General → Pleo AI. Authenticates via OAuth 2.0 with the user's existing Pleo credentials and permissions. Write actions (updating categories, approvals) trigger human confirmation in compatible AI clients by default.
