MitID Broker (Signaturgruppen / Nets eID)

The OIDC/SAML broker service providers use to add MitID login to their own systems — not for agent automation.

WebsiteDocs

Important Notes

Requires a formal service-provider agreement and OIDC/SAML client registration — not self-serve. Still requires the end user to physically complete authentication in the MitID app; nothing here allows an agent to authenticate unattended. Direct domestic credit-transfer-style automation of MitID itself remains prohibited — see the mitid entry.

About

Signaturgruppen (part of Nets/Nexi) operates the MitID broker under contract as the technical integration point between service providers and MitID. Businesses integrate via standard OIDC or SAML flows to add "Log in with MitID" to their own websites and apps, receiving identity claims (and, with user consent, CPR number via the CPR Match API) after the end user completes authentication in the MitID app. This is the provider-integration layer, not a way for an agent to authenticate as a user.

Agent Use Cases

  • 01Add MitID login to a service provider website via standard OIDC
  • 02Retrieve MitID identity claims after a human completes the app-based authentication step
  • 03Call the CPR Match API to confirm a CPR number against a completed MitID authentication, with user consent
